Day 13: Mexico City

We had a 6 am flight today so we had to wake up at 3. We arrived in Mexico City around 10:30 am and it was too early to check into our hotel so we left our bags and went to brunch. The restaurant we went to had beautiful gold architecture. We then walked around the main pedestrian street, city square, and cathedral. At 2:30, we were able to check into the hotel and we all either napped or did some shopping. Later that night, we all took a taxi to the arena to see Lucha Libre. There were a lot of people wearing and selling masks. Each wrestler had their own personality and costume: one was very sparkly, one looked like the epitome of Mexico, and another looked Native American. There was even a kid in a costume at one point, and he was tossed in the air like a hot potato.
