Day 1: Traveling to Mexico

The Mexico City airport could've been a better experience. 🙃 Our first flight was delayed so we only had 2 hours at MEX. We waited about an hour in line at customs, proceeded to baggage claim because we had to manually transfer our bags to our second flight, and exited the airport to re-check in. We didn't have time to check our bags so we ran straight to security, and many of our liquids were taken. After that, we literally sprinted to our gate. Six of us made it through but the door was closed right behind Sam, leaving Dr. Wang, Ash, and Denielle behind. Those three were forced to spend the night and take a flight to Chiapas at 10 am the next day. The rest of us took a collectivo and a taxi to make it to our house, where Cecilia had to pay for our taxis because we didn't have any pesos.
